Honestly, I grew up not liking bread all the much, but my mother LOVED it. She would just light up when we made homemade bread; the smell was intoxicating.
When we would go out for dinner, she would fill up on the bread that’s served first before the meal, and I got to take 90 percent of her meal home to eat later.
It turns out, I started to like eating bread over the past couple years and developed an affinity for it. Nowadays, bread seems like the enemy if you read health and fitness magazines.
One of the reasons is the gluten issue, and another is the antinutrient phytic acid problem. It turns out, most kinds of flour are treated with harsh chemicals like chemical bleach.
That’s where this recipe comes into play… it contains natural ingredients only, and no chemical bleach is involved.
Flourless Bread Recipe
- 4 organic eggs
- 90 grams organic sesame seeds
- 90 grams organic sunflower seeds
- 90 grams organic walnuts
- 90 grams organic pumpkin seeds
- 90 grams organic flaxseed
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 100 ml water
- 1 pinch of salt
First, whisk the egg whites with the salt, and then add the water and the baking soda. All the seeds should be ground into fine powder (flour). Add them to the mixture, and mix all well.
Bake the bread for 50 minutes at 180 C (350 F). The taste of the bread is simply delicious!
