Broccoli – Powerful remedy against cancer

Broccoli also contributes to the strengthening of the immune system, reduces the frequency of occurrence of cataracts, and supports cardiovascular health. Broccoli is reach with nutritive and has a very low caloric value.

100 grams of broccoli contains only 28 calories and 3 grams of protein. In the daily recommended dozes contains 67% vitamin C, 20% vitamin A and even 110% vitamin K. Adding to that, it contains more nutritive with powerful anticancer properties, small amount of selenium, thiamine, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, dietary fiber and manganese.

Useful tip:

When you are shopping for a broccoli in a store you should chose a broccoli with a fresh smell, taut and solid hull, big and dark green head. (Not a yellow leaves in the head).

You can eat the broccoli fresh (well washed) in a salad combined with other vegetable or boiled and cooked like a sauce, with pasta or rise, omelet, or boiled like a soup.

The broccoli can be kept in the fridge up to 5 days. It can also be frozen in the fridge up to 1 year.
